In this session, they discuss the conflict between the insatiable desire to binge, and the stress and anxiety about the physical ailments that occur as a consequence. In the moments she feels fear, shame, guilt, loneliness, or victimhood because she's isolated from life, her desire to binge skyrockets. In that moment, her angst about her weight, size, and discomfort is less important. But after she binges, and when she feels physically sick and ill, her anxiety and stress about her body skyrockets. Because of this, the impulse to radically restrict food and diet arises, which triggers another compulsion to binge. THIS IS A VISCIOUS CYCLE. Recorded May 2018.
