She *thinks* eating carbs triggered her to binge. But when we discuss her feelings of deprivation, insecurity, and victim-hood that occurred prior to eating the carbs, she can see it isn't the carbs that triggered her. It was her feelings of insecurity and burden that were the trigger. We also look into why she continues to eat emotionally when her desire for weight loss is so strong. This is a discussion about cognitive distortions and how being emotional about weight distorts how we relate to food.
