ANOREXIA: FORGIVING YOURSELF AND OTHER'S FOR BEING NARCISSISTIC

We discuss the reasons why people are motivated to evaluate other's value or worth, or lack of value and worthlessness. The desire to be "superior" is a desire to be safe from judgment, rejection, and abandonment. This desire stems from survival mechanisms that are centered around self-preservation. This is the nature of the "ego" and the idea that being "the best" or being "special" makes you safe from the threat of rejection. ANOREXIA: GAINING WEIGHT AND ACCEPTING IT FOREVER TO RECOVER

She suffered with bulimia and anorexic tendencies for over a decade. After having a baby and wanting to lose pregnancy weight gain, she went back to strict dieting behaviors to lose weight. As she wanted to eat more, she brought back her bulimic purging.  We address feelings of loss that occur with weight gain, in order to accept PERMANENT loss of the eating disorder. WOULD YOU EXPOSE THE TRUTH OF YOUR BODY (WITHOUT DIETING) FOR EATING DIS...

We discuss what her life would be like if she was willing to accept her true body. Her mind would be set free to pursue an open and spacious life. She is struggling to accept the truth of her body without having to diet an exercise excessively. She won't recover from her Eating Disorder (ED) misery because she won't let her ED weight-loss methods go. ANOREXIA: NARCISSISM, SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND REFUSAL TO FAIL

She suffers from bulimia and is struggling to let go of being thin. She has suffered obsessing over her size and shape for years. After having a baby, her drive to lose weight intensified and predictably, so did her urges to binge and purge. She's been trying to use the hunger and fullness scale as a "diet". FOOD ADDICTION: IS GUILT ABOUT EATING MAKING IT WORSE?

We discuss the connections between outside triggers and inside stress, coping and hiding by eating food, and using diets to enable that eating. She is struggling to differentiate true hunger from stress hunger, ESPECIALLY since she is still judging her body and then judging food. She has guilt when she eats, no matter if its "good" or "bad." When she thinks she has irreparably failed because she's eaten, she relies on a future diet to fix the "damages." The dieting gives the false sense that emotional eating doesn't have any consequences. BINGE EATING DISORDER: LOVING THE LIFE OF A 400 POUND BODY

She is experiencing the initial sense of freedom that occurs after letting go of the need to lose weight. As the pressure to lose weight goes down...so does the urge to binge.
